Waukee Community School District welcomes and encourages the use of volunteers in our facilities. Volunteers help the district build strong partnerships with our students, parents, community, and businesses by getting involved with our education programming. Our volunteers are viewed as role models who help create a progressive and inclusive school program.
The safety of our students and staff is always our district’s top priority. To make every reasonable effort to provide a safe learning environment for our students, all prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer form every year. The form takes approximately five minutes to complete and must be completed before you can volunteer with Waukee Community School District.
Volunteers will work in a non-paid function serving under the discretion and supervision of Waukee Community School District professional staff. To volunteer with a specific school, contact the building directly after completing the form.
Once you complete the volunteer form, you will be allowed to volunteer at any Waukee Community School District facility for the school year. Please remember, even once you are approved to volunteer in our district you will still need to bring your driver’s license to enter the school. All visitors are required to be scanned through our visitor management system, LobbyGuard.
Please note if you are applying to be an activities/athletic volunteer, you must complete and submit an employment application for the vacancy.
If you have any questions about volunteering with Waukee Community School District, contact Sarah Spooner at 515.987.5161 x4520 or email@example.com.
